Helping you make things happen…

I support creative women with BIG ambitions

I can help.

I’m Lucy, a certified Business Coach, Development Consultant and Mama to two beautiful girls.

I love to work with socially driven enterprises and creative, independent business owners like YOU; to realise your big ambitions and take the next step up.

I have always loved bringing ideas to life, working in the creative sector with artists and social enterprises, and forever nurtured an entrepreneurial spirit of my own. I made the leap into working for myself whilst on mat leave with my first baby, Beatrix. As soon as the dust had settled after her birth and those manic first few had months passed, it slowly (but very surely) dawned on me that I just couldn’t go back to my old office job. No way on earth! I had loved it – but it just wasn’t what I wanted any longer. I craved more freedom, and needed to work in a different way now.

So I used what little time I had, got serious, found the support I needed and formulated my own exit strategy. By the end of the 12-months of mat leave I’d quit my job, set up a viable portfolio business and replaced my old salary with part-time, at-home work that I loved. I also worked hard to make sure I wasn’t simply designing a job for myself; that this was a business I was growing – NOT a time-for-money exchange!

And that’s what I want for you as well. You don’t need to feel stuck, or trapped in the status quo, when you’re working for yourself. I know it can feel overwhelming and hard to break out of the ‘busy’ cycle of just figuring this business stuff out, or chasing your tail delivering to clients; but it IS possible.

And this isn’t me telling you to do it My Special Way. No way! I can’t be doing with that nonsense. I want you to find YOUR way of doing this, your personal, happy, unique way. And that’s where I can help; through 1:1 Coaching. We’ll develop your business plans, create a strategy, and implement: together. Think of me as your temporary business partner, supporting you through the tough transition into a new phase of your business. Then when you’re ready, you fly.

I also still LOVE to support creative sector organisations, including charities and non-profits to attract the support they need. I offer coaching, consultancy services, training and workshops, doing just that.

What my clients say

“Working with Lucy, I’ve achieved more in the last 3 months with her coaching support than I have in over a year of going it alone. You pushed me in the right direction and motivated me all the way. It has been the best 3 months for my business.”

Amandine, The Marketing Cookie

“What I liked most was the room for reflection and to really get under the skin of why I was making decision, and the comprehensive step-by-step e-mails to action, after the calls. The fact that you were very responsive to my random e-mails asking for help. I liked the on-line workshop… as it showed me that I am totally over ambitious in what I think I can achieve at any one time and I need to go easier on myself about what’s possible to do around family/working part time hours.”

Natalie, Natalie Qureshi Birth Coach

“I had no idea where to start with the business side of things and it made no sense to me to try and work it out on my own. I was too serious about making it work to risk flailing about without knowing what I was doing. It was no-brainer for me to work with a business coach and you were just what I needed.”

Rebecca, Rebecca Levene Life Coaching
